About Nick's Art

Much of Nick’s work is inspired by the north Cornish coast and the ocean where he spends a lot of his time. Having surfed in Cornwall for many years he has a strong affinity with the health, beauty and power of the seas and the beaches and coastline which greet them. It is this love and respect which inspires Nick’s paintings which are dominated by Cornish seascapes, coastal and beach artwork.

Nick is also a member of Surfers Against Sewage who campaign and agitate for a more positive and proactive approach towards the management of our water and sewage systems which are detrimentally affecting our seas, rivers and lakes.

Nick continues to paddle out regularly and enjoy his time in the water, but has found that capturing the excitement, movement, colours, beauty and space in his painting is an equally rewarding way of sharing his own love of  the Cornish coast, its beaches and the Atlantic Ocean.
