Flying Past Godrevy

A different perspective of one of Cornwall’s most iconic landmarks, Godrevy Lighthouse. Sitting on the northern edges of St Ives Bay the lighthouse protects commercial shipping from the peril of the rocks which lie beyond. Difficult to access because of its position and the dangers posed by the currents and rocks the painting celebrates the ease with which the seagulls fly on by, untroubled by the constraints faced by us humans. Painted in acrylic on wood panel, measuring 18x14 inches (46x35cm) and framed in white wood.
