This original painting captures the ariel perspective of the incoming tide, bringing a great sense of movement and dynamism as the waves break irregularly across the shoreline. The inspiration for the picture comes from Widemouth Bay on the North Cornish coast where the tide is broken by the rocky outcrops which stretch out from the land to greet the waves. There is a vibrancy to the colours of the water which will create a visual focal point to any room in the house but this works particularly well in a small room or hall way where it will command attention. The layers of paint creat a depth which accentuates the distinction between the turquoise, blues and white elements of the painting, drawing you into the picture.
