Inspired by the love of combing the beach looking for washed up treasures: sea glass (mermaid’s tears), drift wood and exotic curiosities, and wondering where they have washed up from and what story they could tell. In the painting, a couple walk the shoreline as the tides recedes at the end of the day, scouring the sands and enjoying being in the moment together.
