Perranporth holds a special place in Cornish life. Legend has it as being the place where St Piran washed up, before later going on to discover tin- something that continues to be celebrated every March. Perranporth remains one of the most popular holiday destinations in Cornwall with three miles of golden sand, great surf, rock pools, caves and sand dunes - literally something for everyone! Painting this picture, looking north across Perran Sands towards Penhale Point brought back great childhood memories of lovely summer holidays and learning to absail down those distant cliffs while staying at the old barracks at Penhale. The painting is acrylic on box canvas, which has white sides, measures 50x20 cm and is ready to hang.
