Conversation between you and your companion are fruitless as the wind carries its own song. “Whispers on the Wind” is inspired by one such walk along the beautiful sands of Widemouth Bay in North Cornwall as the winds barrelled in from the South West.

The contrast of the colours in the painting really stands out for me, with the dark sands of this stretch of the north Cornish coast contrasting with the turquoise hues of the sea and the mauves, purples, blues and greys of the skies above. There is a real sense of movement and drama as the wind fashions the landscape.
